社会的社会组织与区域结构

Research in this direction includes the development of methodology and methods for studying the mechanisms of functioning and development of territorial communities at three levels: settlement level, regional level, and sub-regional level. Urban agglomeration is seen as specific, naturally evolving sub-regional community, which is now at the core of Russia’s strategic development. Sociological approach developed by the faculty members conceptualizes agglomeration as social space of interactions and formation of common labor market, markets of housing and services.
Another important research direction is monitoring of socio-economic situation in municipalities, as well as the directions for the development of local government in Russia.
