基因组学技术实验室

Research in our laboratory focuses on data analysis of computational genomics, which data are related to high-throughput DNA sequencing technologies. The study is carried out within the framework of an international collaboration with the Jackson Laboratory (USA), and Huazhong Agricultural University (China.)

The development of methods for whole-genome analysis of the regulatory regions of the gene transcription, combined with highly-productive DNA sequencing methods, creates qualitative new data available to study how genes work, genetic networks and regulatory circuits. These studies are at the cutting edge of natural sciences and thus contribute to solving fundamental biomedical and biotechnological problems. These modern technologies provide great material for bio-informational analysis and represent a rapidly growing field of research at the junction between biology, informatics, fundamental medicine and bioengineering.

The modern approaches for analysis of postgenomic era data are the major outcome of our work. Integrated software designed for bio-informational research was created in our Laboratory.

The Laboratory also trains NSU students as future highly-qualified specialists in Bioinformatics.
